A specialist centre in Nyon
The Centre de l’Obésité et du Métabolisme de la Côte, in Nyon, supports people affected by their weight and its consequences for their health.
Under the direction of Dr Pierre Fournier, the Centre organises multidisciplinary care adapted to each situation. Support can combine nutrition, physical activity, psychological support, medication and surgery.
You can come for a first assessment, to discuss a treatment or to resume follow-up, including after an operation performed in another hospital, in Switzerland or abroad.
Our approach
- Understanding your situation: your history, your health, your expectations and your daily life.
- Building a plan with you: explaining the possibilities and setting goals together.
- Combining the approaches that help: treatments can complement each other and change over time.
- Ensuring continuity: organising long-term support, in liaison with your GP.
When surgery is being considered, the decision is made collectively by the multidisciplinary team, with you.

Coordinated care
The Centre’s appointments team receives your request and organises appointments according to your situation. The professionals involved coordinate your care. If your doctor referred you to the Centre, a report is sent to them after the consultation.
The Centre is led by Dr Pierre Fournier, surgeon. Depending on your needs, other professionals are involved, at the Centre or within the care network it works with: you will not meet all of them, and not necessarily in the same place.
