Your care pathway

First consultation

A first appointment to review your situation, ask your questions and understand what could help you.

Why come and see us

You can book an appointment if your weight worries you or is affecting your health or daily life, if you have questions about medication or surgery, or if you have already had surgery and would like to resume follow-up.

You do not need to know in advance which treatment to choose.

How to prepare for your appointment

If you have them, bring the list of your medicines and supplements, your recent test results and your questions. The appointments team will tell you which documents will be useful.

What is discussed during the consultation

The consultation is first and foremost a time for listening: how your weight has changed over time, your health and any associated conditions, the treatments you have already tried, your daily life and what you would like to change.

What happens next?

At the end of this first meeting, we discuss the next steps with you and the options suited to your situation. You can ask your questions and take time to think things over.

If a doctor referred you to the Centre, they will receive a report after the consultation.

All requests are received by the Centre’s appointments team, who will organise the next steps with you.
